Andrew & Whitney were such a great couple to work with.  We scheduled the session for Sunday morning at Piedmont Park.  It was a perfect morning and we had the park all to ourselves.  Whitney was looking awesome in red and really pops in the photos, which not everyone can pull off!  Andrew and I actually went to high school together so it was great to see him again.  Thanks again guys, I enjoyed it!

What an awesome wedding – Jordan & Jenn got married at the Braselton Stover House. This place is just filled with Southern style charm – a beautiful, old plantation style house updated with a modern reception hall.  The ceremony was outdoors – sprinkles and dark rain clouds threatened throughout the day but it cleared up right before the ceremony.  Jenn is obviously a gorgeous bride who knows what she wants and Jordan is a photographer himself, so the pressure was on!  I think my favorites from the whole day are the shots in front of the barn and the final dance shot.

Andy & Gena got married at what is becoming one of my favorite venues to shoot at in Atlanta,  Magnolia Hall.  It’s inside Piedmont Park and has an awesome skyline view of the city.  This is my second wedding here – the plan was for an outdoor ceremony but April showers had their way.  Luckily Gena and her bridesmaids came prepared with cute matching umbrellas and great attitudes.  The ceremony was moved inside which made for a really great, intimate wedding.  Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the covered patio while the bridal party and myself darted in and out trying to get shots and stay dry.  One of my favorite from the whole day is at the bottom – we totally embraced the rain.

Keturah & Marcus have been an amazing couple to work with.  It turns out that we have a lot in common – we both picked the best date to get married on (April 17th) and Marcus is a photographer as well — check out his stuff here.  They had a beautiful ceremony and reception that was at Lambert Place.  The venue was awesome – really big with a slight industrial feel, but intimate and lounge-like at the same time.  There were a few great spots for portraits too – the last one in this entry is one of my fav’s.

Jacob and I started our session at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.  The area surrounding the museum is filled with cool alcoves, textures, and great photo spots.  I’ve shot there before and each time I find a different location that I like.  After that, we made our way over to Piedmont Park (wedding there this weekend too).  Jacob is an easy going guy, totally relaxed in front of camera, and it shows.  It felt like we were just hanging out.  I’ve been blogging babies, seniors, and engagements lately but don’t worry, I’m still a wedding photographer and will be blogging a bunch of them shortly! :)

15 minutes with London

April 22, 2010

It’s fun to challenge yourself occasionally.  Shannon and I were getting ready to leave the house for a Braves game last weekend and had a few minutes to spare.  She convinced me to do a mini portrait session with London.  London is 7 months old and we’re friends with his mom, Angela.   I grabbed a camera and two lenses and 15 minutes later, these were the results.  I totally missed the focus on the second shot – I’m not sure why but it’s a toss up between that and the third shot for my fav’s.  **WARNING*** by looking at the photos below you may become enthralled by the magic phenomena that is known as baby fever.
